Gemini Update

Google has introduced a new overlay design for Gemini on Wear OS, aiming to boost cross-device consistency. The update takes inspiration from Neural Expressive on Android phones, featuring a similar background and spark icon. This design change allows Gemini to appear as an overlay over the current watch face, rather than opening the full app. The system microphone privacy indicator has also been relocated from the bottom to the top of the screen. The full Gemini app on Wear OS has also received visual updates, ensuring a unified experience across all platforms. This redesign was first previewed in May and has now started rolling out to Pixel Watch and other Wear OS devices via the Play Store. However, the new look has a server-side component that is not yet widely available. Gemini Intelligence on Wear OS enables users to leverage task automation on upcoming watches, with plans for future expansion to mobile and desktop apps. The update is part of Google's efforts to enhance the Gemini experience and provide a more seamless interaction across devices.
